THHOR on the Road – Visiting Planet in Berlin

On 24 September 2025, three THHOR members (Thorbjörn, Mika and Simon) attended ‘Planet on the Road in Berlin’ — a one-day learning and networking event organised by Planet Labs.

Through a series of panels and discussions, we gained valuable insights into designing and operating successful satellite hardware, navigating complex regulatory frameworks, and unlocking the full potential of satellite-based remote sensing.

The conversations in between the sessions were just as important: we connected with many like-minded individuals who share our vision of putting a student-built satellite into orbit. Among them was Blue Skies Space, a university spin-out from London, who shared first-hand experience and advice on preparing for launch — insights that will prove invaluable as we move forward with our own mission.
